Parent School Association
When asked what makes AES unique, our families and faculty cite community as a hallmark of their AES experience. After all, it's a fundamental human need to belong. The AES Community welcomes newcomers, values those who stay, and offers cherished lifetime memories and traditions to those who must move on. In a world where differences can divide, we feel the acceptance and support in our community makes a positive difference. Many families report that the hardest part of leaving New Delhi was finding another school to offer the family-feeling of AES.
People are the strength and core of any great school, where colleagues become family and families become community. We gather at AES from all over the world, build local connections, and regardless of where we end up, feel forever anchored to this place and culture.
Who are we?
The AES Parent School Association (PSA) is an active, engaged group of volunteers, dedicated to supporting AES students, families, faculty, and staff.
While all parents and guardians are members of the PSA, the PSA’s organization is run by an Executive Committee which meets monthly to plan and implement activities and events, and to discuss issues pertaining to the Elementary, Middle, and High Schools. These meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month and are open to all parents and guardians.
The PSA supports and makes outstanding contributions towards the school’s development. Support is extended to all members of the community through various activities, socials, coffees, and evening events, as well as fun and entertaining family holiday events throughout the year. Through these activities and connections, the PSA fosters a sense of community and camaraderie among parents/guardians, teachers, students, and staff.
Family involvement at AES is always welcomed and encouraged. The PSA’s many scheduled events are listed in the AES Planner as well as published in the weekly PSA News. The PSA reaches out to the AES community for volunteers as events approach requesting family help to organize and facilitate these events. Volunteering is a fun way to learn more about the School and meet new and interesting people.
The PSA celebrates the diversity of AES through the hugely popular International Food Fair—a delicious afternoon with family and friends. The much-anticipated AES Gala is a fun adult-only evening celebrating the end of the year. Understanding of local culture is celebrated through the colorful and dynamic festivals of Holi and Diwali. Several other periodic events throughout the year offer a chance to get to know each other in the community.
PSA Grade Level Representatives facilitate communications between the School and Grade Representatives. These representatives serve as the point people for questions and suggestions that can then be relayed to the appropriate channels. Grade Representatives also assist counselors with organization and facilitation of grade-level coffees.
The PSA Link Family Program, organized by the Welcome Committee, matches newly-arrived families with veteran families. They also organize the New to Delhi coffee morning and the hugely popular Information Mela which provides an opportunity to learn more about all Delhi has to offer.
Committee’s like Events and Spirit provide plenty of opportunities for involvement, and whether you would prefer to volunteer for a few hours or take on a more involved role, there are lots of chances to participate.
We encourage everyone to join us at some point during the year, to partake of the energy and dynamism of the AES community.

AES Spirit Shop By Our Community, For Our Community
The AES Spirit Shop is a handful of fun loving and dedicated AES volunteer parents who promote school spirit on the AES campus and throughout our community.
