From market to table, we take nutrition, the environment, and food prep seriously. It’s our way of tending to your child’s health and wellness and to your peace of mind.
AES is committed to serving delicious, healthy, and nutritious meals and snacks. Every day our chefs prepare fresh meals for our students and staff that include hot entrees, homemade soups, fresh fruit, snacks, and an extensive salad bar. All our food is made in-house, and we are always interested in feedback, in trying new things, and in reflecting on how we can improve.
We value a well-balanced approach using main-stream ingredients but also organic fruits and vegetables, gluten-free products, and even elementary school campus-grown veggies. No plastic water bottles are sold on campus as all campus water is filtered by our own state-of-the-art industrial-sized plant and UV system. The School provides safe drinking water at all fountains and coolers, and the entire community is encouraged to use refillable bottles. In addition, wherever possible, especially in our take-away kiosks, biodegradable utensils and recyclable bags are used.
