Kindergarten Projects
: interact with an UNWA sponsored kindergarten and a DCWA sponsored kindergarten
AES students visit these kindergartens and students from those schools visit our kindergarten to share activities, learn the role of host, provide snacks and exchange token handmade gifts.

Grade 1 Projects:  support the NGO Going to School in India, an organization that provides books in local languages and dialects to school in parts of India with few resources
AES students do an annual "read in" to raise funds which along with the proceeds from a mela on campus support Going to School in India projects.

Grade 2 Projects: support cancer research, local orphanages, and schools for the disabled
Through pledges to support Grade 2 runners in the Terry Fox Run for cancer research, community members donate to cancer research; Grade 2 students sell goods they have made and services they provide at the Second Grade Mela and donate the proceeds to a local orphanage and/or school for disabled students.

Grade 3 Projects: support for the Tibetan Day School
Grade 3 students host a visit from students of the TIbetan Day School and learn about Tibetan culture. Grade 3 supplies instructional materials, some English language practice and teacher support through a long standing relationship between AES and the Tibetan  Day School.

Grade 4 Project: raise awareness of the need to reduce, reuse and recycle paper
Grade 4 students conduct the weekly paper recycling drive throughout the Elementary School. Their efforts are aligned to the High School recycling club. The collected paper is sold for charity or reused in local schools.

Grade 5 Project: help Deepalaya students
Interact with students from Deepalaya School including such activities as support for English language practice, increase awareness of the needs of students in the local community among AES students. Participate in opportunities for shared sports, drama and other age appropriate events.
